I am a 20-something college student who is attending Fresno State University in California. I'm currently studying biology with an emphasis in zoology and also pursuing a minor in environmental sciences. My weekends are spent working part-time as a server in an Italian restaurant.
When I'm not working, studying, or in class, I spend my days playing sci-fi or fantasy video games, stargazing on my telescope, and reading everything from YA books to feminism blogs to news articles on the latest scientific breakthroughs.

My professor dropped this 8 foot boa into my arms without warning. |
I created my first book idea when I was ten. It was about a girl who goes on an adventure across a dangerous land to find a remedy to cure her dying sister. And then there was some magic and an evil father-slash-king and a cute boy who helped her on her quest. Sadly, I never got around to writing it.
FYI I'm terrified of spiders... |
Two years later, however,I started writing in the form of Harry Potter
fanfiction. They were awful, cringe-worthy drabbles, but I kept going anyway.
At the age of 20, I completed my first book at 102,000 words. It was still
awful and cringe-worthy, so I started over. In early 2013, I completed my second book and am in the process of revising while simultaneously working on my current NaNoWriMo novel. I'm hoping to have both novels finished and revised by summer of 2014.
She's such a princess. |
And lastly, when I just can't find the motivation to do anything writing-wise, I tend to spend time with my 13-year-old cat Quinn by snuggling up on the couch with one of my shows.
